Homework

Maths

This is set using the MyMaths portal. All children have their log-in information inside their reading record. Should accessing this portal be a problem, we will provide opportunities for this homework to be completed in school.

Reading

Every child is encouraged to read at home. Every time you listen to your child please add a signature into the space provided in the yellow reading record. This must be signed by a parent or a carer or another family member that is 16 years +. Please listen to your child read daily and ask them questions to check their understanding.

PE- Swimming

Our first session at Quantock Lodge Pool. It's a chilly start, but we are ready to take the plunge !

Spring Term

A Visit From Pete The Poet

Experimenting with language, working with friends and props, creating new poetry.

Swimming

We are learning a range of strokes - backstroke, front crawl, breast stroke and dolphin legs. We are also learning somersault turns in the water.

Science

Our focus for learning is physics- The Earth, Moon and Sun. Of course we are also going to take a look around the Solar system. We have learnt the names of the planets and investigated their size and position.

We had an " out of this world" experience in the Space Odyssey dome.

PE-Gymnastics

We have been learning movement, balance and sequencing skills on and off apparatus.

Art

We have focused our learning on collage , looking at an artist called Denise Fiedler.
